Job Interviews: Onsite at The Career Place

The Career Place works with local employers to provide onsite employment interviews for open jobs. Current opportunities are posted on this website as they become available.

July 22 (Thursday) from 1 to 3 p.m.: Next Step Living, Inc., Boston, will be recruiting for multiple positions. All positions must pass federal/state/county background check, including driving record & drug screening. Please contact The Career Place in advance to pre-register and schedule a time for your interview (781.932.5500).

1. Position: Home Efficiency Advisor

• Visits homes of customers to identify conditions that cause energy waste and recommends actions to improve comfort, safety, and energy efficiency including weatherization, insulation, and deeper green retrofits.
• BPI Building Analyst Certification strongly preferred, LEED or HERS a plus.
• 2 years experience/education preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license with at least 3 year’s clean driving record.

2. Position: Weatherization & Insulation Technician

• Perform renovations identified during home efficiency assessment that will reduce energy use in homes throughout the greater Boston area.
• Duties include air sealing, insulating.
• 3-6 months related experience and/or training.
• One year certificate from college or technical school a plus; Basic math & reading skills.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 year’s clean driving record preferred.
• Salary starts at $15/hour.

3. Position: Weatherization & Insulation Crew Lead

• On-site job coordination of renovations identified during home efficiency assessment that will reduce energy use in homes throughout the greater Boston area.
• Train, supervise, and work alongside Technicians (air sealing, insulating.)
• Manage inventory, truck stocking, customer service at job site.
• Create written summary and invoice for each job.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on weatherization work including air sealing and blown-in cellulose insulation preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license with at least 3 year’s clean driving record.
• Salary start at $17/hour.

August 3 (Tuesday) from 10 a.m. to 12 noon: Macy's will be recruiting for the following:

1. Sales Associate (f/t & p/t)
2. P/t Early Morning Support Positions – receive new merchandise to reconfiguring a selling floor; Hrs- 5:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., and incl. some weekends
3. Cosmetic Beauty Advisors (f/t & p/t)

• All positions are in BURLINGTON only.
